I recently received a question from a reader of B&D.
This is what he asked…
Will the contents (digital artworks) we create on the internet last forever?
Considering that the internet may cease to exist one day, what should a blog artist or an online writer do to ensure that his words and messages can be passed on to the future generations?
That's a great question and here is the answer…
In the past I was very happy with the great work I've done here at Bold & Determined.
I believed my work would last forever and future generations would always have access to my work and therefore the good word would live forever.
But then a nasty realization popped into my head….
The internet is a virtual reality.
It does not exist anywhere in the “real” world.
If (or when) the internet vanishes, so will everything on it.
We have put all of our energy and work into a virtual reality.
This reality does not exist anywhere in the “real” world.
It exists solely in the ether.
If for any reason the magic of the internet vanishes, so does all of the work associated with it.
If the internet goes, so does all of the work of Bold & Determined as well as all of the other great blogs, videos, and podcasts.
Thankfully there is one way and only way way to preserve the great work of B&D and ensure that it lives on for future generations.
No, I do not mean carving the words of B&D into cuneiform tablets (though I would be very happy if you did).
What I am referring to of course is….
Physical books are the way you preserve the great information available here at Bold & Determined.
In the past I said I would never publish B&D in paperback solely because it was already available for free so why would I charge for it?
Then I woke up from my delusion and realized it could go away at any moment.
Without a paperback copy of B&D, these words could be lost forever.
So we started the process of transferring every great B&D article into a paperback form.
We have already released Volumes 1-3.
Now I am very happy to announce that Bold & Determined Vol. 4 is available for purchase.
In addition to preserving this great work for the future, it's also great to simply read a book instead of reading digital screens.
All of us are sick of screens anyway and are looking for any excuse to get the hell off of the phone or the computer for a few hours and be in the here and now.
The digital world/virtual reality has given us all the great gift of communication and for those of us who have taken the extra step, independence.
But it was not without consequence.
Now so many of us are addicted to the internet more than heroin addicts are addicted to heroin.
But will the internet be here forever?
I'm not so sure.
Therefore, I would suggest if you enjoy the great work of Bold & Determined, you may want to grab a copy of Bold & Determined Vol. 4 just in case.
Perhaps in the future you will want to read some of the works to your grandchildren and perhaps by that time something may have happened to the internet.
You never know and you can never be too well prepared.
I know what you may be thinking…
“But Victor, the internet will never vanish! We're too smart for that!”
I wouldn't be too sure about that.
Modern people do not even know if they are a boy or a girl.
Modern people think that flooding Western Europe with African and middle eastern “migrants” is a good idea.
Modern people think that masculinity is “toxic” and that females and “minorities” should be given promotions over capable white men (and capable white men such as your kindly Uncle Victor simply vanish from society just like John Galt).
With this kind of gross incompetence in leadership, do you really think the future will be so well maintained?
Do you really think these people will maintain the infrastructure?
Do you really think freedom of speech will exist in the future with these nincompoops in charge?
You're a funny guy.
You must be a really funny comedian if you say that to me.
Well listen here Joker Joe…
In the past you were guaranteed of only one thing and in the future you can be guaranteed of only one thing…
SELF-RELIANCE IS KEY.
Nobody will come to save you.
No politician is going to lift you out of hell and into the light.
You must save yourself.
Self-reliance is your salvation.
And what is the greatest gift of self-reliance on Earth?
The good words of Bold & Determined.
The good words of B&D teach you the mental strategies you need to survive and thrive in any world.
If or when the world goes to hell, you can rest assured you will have the mental tools you need to thrive.
The tools of success are always the same, regardless of the time period and regardless of the state of the world.
Those tools are available in Bold & Determined Vol. 4.
There is still so much to be done.
Until next time.
