Bill asks… (23:17)
Hi Victor, would you be willing to share a bit about the jobs you had before you began your journey as an entrepreneur, and perhaps how those jobs led you towards being your own boss?
The Orthovox asks… (1:16:46)
Victor, What are the defining traits of people who will always remain poor?
Karthik asks… (1:19:07)
What is actually *real* in society today? This seems like a simple question, but it isn’t. When we get to the core of the matter, politics is fake. Money is fake. Status is fake. Prestige is fake.
It seems like professional sports are the one area where merit still actually triumphs. Maybe the reason men love pro sports is because this is the one socially approved outlet where actual competitive spirit can be expressed without being shamed for it.
Farming is real. Architecture is real. Plumbing is real. Music is real. But other than all this, I struggle to find what is truly real.
JJ asks… (1:27:52)
Hey Vic, I’ve read many books on power tactics such as The 48 Laws of Power, The 33 Strategies of War, The Prince, The Art of War, etc. They all seem to advocate for a veiled, Machiavellian approach to winning in life.
When I read B&D I get the sense that you advocate for a more open and aggressive style of gaining power/winning.
When do you believe it is appropriate to use covert/Machiavellian tactics and when is it appropriate to be outwardly assertive and BOLD?
Also, if I may ask, other than B&D what do you believe are the top 3 books every man should read to develop his ability to gain power?
JP Moustique asks… (1:31:31)
Vic, why do you think these elite types always get a kick out of revealing who they are to us? Like Jones openly says he’s from an intelligence family, why do they keep rubbing it in our faces who they are? Would they want us to notice, or are they mocking us for not being able to see it despite putting it right in front of us?
Laszlo asks… (1:33:46)
If every major religion is a slave religion, who/what does an aspiring man who seeks the divine/higher truths turn to?
How does one find a true, authentic, master/spiritual guide/guru? Where do such wise men reside and how can they be reached?
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” -Luke 17:21
RobertV asks… (1:36:03)
What do you think about men who still live at home with their parents well into their 30s? The automatic reaction in America and other highly individualistic cultures is to ridicule these people. I agree they deserve ridicule if they are spongeing off their parents, being lazy slobs, and not working at anything.
But in many developing countries and even in places like Italy, it’s pretty normal for a man to stay with his parents until his mid-30s, even if he has enough money to buy or rent his own property. Thinking back to before the explosion of capitalism, it was also normal to stay with your family, your tribe, for your whole life.
Randy asks… (1:40:08)
I’ve recently quit all vices. I’ve increased the intensity of my workouts with Red Beast. I’m on a 90-95% carnivore diet but fuck it, I like ice cream and pizza sometimes. I’m pursuing a new career in real estate. I like to read and enjoy spending quality time with my wife, baby and dog. Despite this I get bored or rather I feel unfulfilled living in clown world because I realize how retarded and unnatural modern life is, especially without vice. How do you deal with the depressing nature of modern civilization?
Gerasimo asks… (1:43:03)
Is hormesis worth it? You say white rice and wheat leave you feeling like crap but you are tempted once in a while to eat them. But is it REALLY worth the impaired body/mind?
I’ve been wondering-is it perhaps smarter to not do cheat meals, but rather do a cheat “side dish” or “cheat bite” where you have your regular clean meals with just a few bites of ice cream or a donut.
This was you get your taste of the shitty food (hell even grab a few bites of a Big Mac) without the lingering aftereffects of actually getting a cheat meal, plus by hormesis those few bites will be enough to keep your immune system sharp, almost like an immunization.
