Hello friend.
This is a weekly email series called 5-Star Friday. It is a short list of the things I'm enjoying or pondering this week.
5-Star Friday is delivered to your email every Friday. If you want to receive 5-Star Friday every week you must sign up the B&D Email list by clicking right here.
Here is an example of a 5-Star Friday email…
*Article I’m rereading
Cyberbullying and Karma by Stickman Bangkok. (NSFW) This remains one of the most powerful articles I’ve read ever read on the internet. It’s thought-provoking, scary, and absolutely fascinating. It's a long read, but well worth it, so make sure you have time. NSFW NOTE: Stickman Bangkok is a Thailand based website and the advertising may not be safe for work.
*Podcast episode I'm listening to
Last Podcast on the Left – L. Ron Hubbard 4 part series. Learning about L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of scientology, is fascinating. And this podcast is just plain hilarious. Great for long car rides.
*Easy meal I'm eating
6 scrambled egg yolks cooked with butter. This meal is easy, quick, healthy, and delicious. I simply separate 6 egg yolks from the egg whites, I mix the 6 egg yolks in a bowl, I add several scoops of butter, and I cook the eggs on a mild heat for just a few moments until the eggs harden, stirring the entire time they are cooking. This easy recipe makes the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. They are so rich you don't need any other food to pair them with, it's a complete meal.
*Product I can't live without
3D Sleeping Mask. I use this sleeping mask every single night and I'm getting better sleep than I ever have. I've used many sleep masks but this is the best one I've tried as it actually covers my eyes completely. Highly recommended.
*Quote I’m pondering
“People will choose unhappiness over uncertainty.”
–Tim Ferris
That's it for this edition of 5-Star Friday!
Which star above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions? Let me know in the comments below!
Have a great weekend, friend.

I dig it. Like the meal ideas.
Nice Vic. It’s clear that the steady blood sugar from zero carbs makes your mind stable and strong. Your content has become much… Wiser? You seem much wiser too. Big up brother
I agree with this. It seems like Vic went through some form of ego death or spiritual growth. I can FEEL the difference in his writing.
I agree with you that cholesterol is healthy and not bad. This article confirms what I have always thought thank you Victor.
Putting the info here as well as sending it to your contacts was a good idea. That way you don’t have to handle hundreds of emails from people wanting to comment on your stars. Also gets easier to reply to many people at once.
I especially like the food recipe star-pointer.
Thanks again Victor
I totally agree that having a full neck gives you a more manly look. That strong physique look with a pencil neck is for geeks.
Full neck, broad shoulders, and a big back makes you look like a winner. You’ll find your clothes fit better too. And look better on you.
Loving this new series, Vic!
“People will choose unhappiness over uncertainty.” This is more applicable than you know. I’m convinced you have a sixth sense of when people need to hear a particular message, and this one is no different. Your timing is on point.
Uncertainty causes fear, and fear causes inaction. Fuck fear. I’m learning what I need to, to get rid of the uncertainty. Action follows.
Have a great weekend, brother… but hey, weekends don’t exist for you, now do they? ;)
Nick
Great post! More of the 5-Star Friday!
Starting this was a great idea!
Hello Victor, I liked your quote from Manly Hall about integrity. Hall was a famous mystic and author of The Secret Teachings of All the Ages. Integrity is about being true to yourself, honest and authentic, having existential courage to tell it like you see it and not be a coward in the face of the universal bullshit of the world.
eating eggs, meat and butter is my primary job. what’s yours.
Love your website man. My wife is Vietnamese I been all over Vietnam and southeast Asia. I’ve been big into bodybuilding for years and not into working for other people. Your website is absolutely outstanding keep up the great work. I’ve been using alot of your own mottos from this site as my own “mantras” lately. Once again keep up the great work.

5 Star Friday is great and makes for a good reading with interesting topics.
Hope we‘ll see a new book of yours in the near future.

Loved the article you rec’d: “9 SECRETS ABOUT FEMALE NATURE TOLD BY A HOT GIRL DYING OF CANCER”. I think everything in there is pretty close to true for at-least a lot of ladies… except… fucking dogs? That can’t be right!!! Am I so naive??
The article about the 9 secrets of women is spot on. It may sound harsh and a bit crudely spoken but deep down its really how women feel and act. I have had over 70 women in my life and about 20 were married women. This has given me insight into women true nature and I will tell you I wouldn’t trust a woman any farther than I could spit. The nicer she seems the more deals she is.
Hi Vic. David from Argentina here.
This past year your blog helped me to stop a really nasty cocaine addiction and getting back to weight training so thank you a lot.
The rok article was a blast, my favorite on the list. Been reading there too but never seen that one.
Also I’ve been really enjoying the podcast. Would kill to have it more than once a week. I agree with you on the Jordan Peterson thing and Im curious about your opinion on Elliot Hulse’s work.
Love your work dude !
¡Un abrazo, idolo!
Agree with exercising in the heat. I do hot yoga and the heat is protective against injury and to increase flexibility while making you sweat
Your quote….ppl will choose unhappiness over uncertainty….based on fear, not courage and confidence…feeling safe rather than risking… oh that hindsight could be foresight!
Sup Vic
I was lucky enough to be exposed to the red pill years ago.. changed my life far behind getting pussy.
My question – I love the 9 truth article you linked but quite honestly, how true do you think the women being sexual freaks ARE?
I do live in the Midwest, but pretty much every guy I see is a try hard, beta white knight who can’t hold a girl down for more then 6 months.
Vast majority of the article is spot on.. but the 5 partners in one NIGHT? And I honestly don’t think many women are the center of a gangbang.. Sorry. Think some of the article was written for dramatic effect.
I do like ROK, but dramatic seems to be a theme on many articles.
Thanks VICTOR, you’re the man!!!!
TLDR – women are sexual freaks with the right guy but I don’t believe they’re throwing it out there frequently
Had pork ribs for the past two nights. Enjoyed them to the fullest. Just need some green Tabasco sauce to go with them. Definitely will be buying some more soon. Keep it coming with the interesting articles you discover, and the delicious carnivore meals.

I love the Meals and the Quotes. You can also point the books that you’re starting to read.

Hey Victor, great job, love the weekly podcasts, and glad you are turning out a lot of work.
One thing to check out, if you haven’t already, is the Marathon Monks from Japan. They can offer a lot of insight to mental clarity and the power of the mind.
Keep up the good work, Chris

Not that it needs to be said but jocko willink is a friggin beast. I have such high repsect for him. His podcasts are awesome.
Hahha jocko is my guy ! Love his books !
That video with the Navy Seal Commander is just amazing! I’ve never looked at waking up early as the first victory that sets the tone of the day by leading to other victories. I’ll definitely be restarting 30 Days of Discipline with you.

Vic,
One of your Five Star Fridays included a quote by Esther Vilar.
I had no idea who that was so I googled her and found her body of work.
I’m reading the Manipulated Man now and it’s blowing my mind. Frankly I don’t know what to think anymore.
I was curious to hear your impressions of Esther Vilar’s work and her beliefs.
Best,
-Nikhil
I’m on day 9 of a nofap streak.
I have unbelievable energy. I’m literally sitting at my computer screaming. It’s like being on drugs.
I’m having intense crazy gorilla sex with my girlfriend. Some days I’m so motivated I go out and chase tail at night even.
I had to take a break from the gym because of a slipped disk. Ordinarily, I would feel horrible for 9 days off. I feel okay because of the no-fap streak. I’m convinced my T is higher because of this.
One downside is I am having an extremely hard time focusing on one task, particularly mundane shit I don’t want to do. I know it gets better as time goes on.
Keep it up dudes!
Any way to access the archives mate? New to the series from this week and would love to read your old 5 star articles.
Been following you and Tim Ferris for years. Coupled with how you’ve grown and a lifelong study of hermetics, your message is now of infinitely higher value to me than Ferris’. Rock on, brother!
Indian flute music. Buttery egg yolks. Breathing fresh cold air. I am more bold and determined now thank you.
Hey Vic!
I love the 5-Star Fridays! I’d like to continue seeing recovery/stretching tips you discover. I also like your food and drink recommendations like the Ribs recipe and the Butter Tea. The books are a great idea too. I really enjoyed the Terry Crews podcast you recommended (and I don’t even care for Tim Ferriss too much ha) so any other podcasts you enjoy I’d love to hear them. Stress management is something that I’d like to see talked about too. Since the readers of B&D generally don’t partake in modern vices that are for “relaxing” (drinking, weed, masturbation, video games etc.) I’d like to see constructive ways to let the mind/body rest, recover, and rebuild stronger than it was after some intense work sessions. I think people would be more inclined to make big changes if they have an alternative to the social programming we all receive.
Thanks for reading!
When you don’t partake in any vices you are always relaxed. Vice is what creates the need for more “relaxation.” All addictions cause the problems they then fix.

Cooking outside on an open fire (nature’s television). I live near London, UK. I recently headed in to the Black Mountains in South Wales with friends and we cooked Sirloin steak over the hot embers. Magical.
Hi Victor,
Good stuff…as usual. Out of curiosity, is there a reason why you don’t offer your books and/or supplements
on Amazon?
Thanks in advance,
T
Hey Vic love the podcast, quick question-
What is the best way to find info online with my phone? I find google is not much help. Thx
In my opinion, the Roosh article implies a much greater degree of organization than is probably fair to ascribe to humans, elite or otherwise.
Also – I used to think this way. Now that I have a family, I no longer fear the ebbs and flows of society. You cannot destroy love…and where there is true love, there is true vision. Never forget that.
Really enjoy these, keep up the good work.

I love these 5 star Fridays! Excellent article Victor, keep them coming.
I have been reading a lot about the Mongolians lately. Most people seem to have forgotten that this great people have been enduring for thousands of years some of the most difficult climates on earth. Yet, they still are strong, virile, and live a harmonious lifestyle with their nature. May I also remind that the Mongols, under Genghis Khan, built the greatest and largest empire ever in the shortest amount of time? Nobody could match their skill with horses and arrows. These people are simply badass.
Here is a wonderful article about the Mongolian diet and lifestyle that everyone here should read.
https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/in-his-footsteps/diet-of-mongolia/
I have been eating meat, raw milk and yoghurt (like the Mongols) for about a year now, and my health and strength is incredible. I have not been sick even once while on this diet.
I wish you all health, strength & wealth in 2019 and beyond.
Mathias
Just bought Ed Latimore’s book. Thanks
Have your workout partner put a couple of plates on your back when you use the an wheel.

Hi Victor, here are some top suggestions for the gym:

Terror – Always the Hard Way
Alea Jacta Est – From Silence I Rise
your brain hates uncertainty, it is uncomfortable. Your brain resolves to the negative outcome, therefore uncertainty is the equivalent of the negative, or it is synonymous with fear. People will choose a substandard or painful certainty rather than exist in a superior existence that is uncertain.
They will choose the certain salary job with no upside, rather than go thru the discomfort of uncertainty that holds unlimited upside. Or they will limit the upside by seizing on certainties, which is the worst of both worlds, in that they are not guaranteed a floor salary, yet are still limiting their upside potential by seeking certainties.
Hello Victor,
I have a question about this statement from the 5-Star Friday newsletter:
“Little known fact: Most drugs users use drugs with the intention to watch porn while high.”
I would love to hear more about this because I cannot find this information online (related searches
turn up degenerate porn). I believe it because I heard a local dirtbag complaining about a re-occuring $99 porno bill he “did not sign up for” on his telephone.
A significant portion of dirtbags are hard drug users, and I wonder if they are retreating into a dark world of porno only to emerge on the 1st of the month to buy junk food. I see less people outside than ever, and it might be because they are drawing the shades and watching porno, netflix, and social media. All of these things are free or cheaper than ever so they can hook the poorest of the poor.
Are people turning to drug use to combat the nihilism and emptiness caused by pornography use? Is this one of the hidden facets of the opiate crisis they do not talk about?
Hey Victor , I noticed in your latest podcast that you mentioned the absolutely insanely evil new abortion laws in NY , allowing abortions up until birth , and the cheers by all the vermin when the law was passed . Did you happen to see the scumbag virginia gov explaining what would happen if the abortion was unsuccessful and the baby was actually born? have a listen to it , it seems he is saying the baby could then be allowed to die or put down ( exterminated) . This is Evil stuff and its only a matter of time before these babies start being harvested for useful materials.

Mr. Pride,
You should check out The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin. The book is about the role of central banks and talks about how the decline of the west may have been planned out. It’s not the most entertaining book to read but provides some useful insights.
Keep up the good work, my friend.
Best,
Francisco
